A.C.T.S. is a relatively new ministry to our parish, which has a goal of offering lay Catholics and their non-Catholic family and friends an opportunity to grow in their knowledge, understanding and and experience of God through a “Lived Faith” experience, as well as the ability to get to better know some of the folks we so often see, but don’t yet know, who are in the pews with us at Sunday Mass, at the school picking up their kids and grandkids, at the Fair, the annual Crawfish Boil, the Trunk-Or Treat, or around the church grounds.
The ACTS experience is a retreat, which starts on a Thursday evening and ends with a meal, served after the 11:00 AM Sunday Mass. A.C.T.S. is an acronym for Adoration, Community, Theology and Service. This retreat consists of presentations by regular folks, putting the 4 components of our acronym into practical terms, without any theoretical philosophical or theological terms, but in the terms of actual life experiences.
