The Saint Philip Neri Parish Community began in 1960 with the creation of the Parish by Archbishop Rummel. Father A. Charles Kenney celebrated the first mass on July 3, 1960 in “The Tent”. The Tent was the Parish’s spiritual home for 27 months.
On October 29, 1962, the Parish celebrated the inaugural mass in the “Original Church”. In 1964-65, School Buildings 2 & 3 were constructed and in 1972, the Assembly Hall was built. The “Original Church” served the Parish needs until 1979.
The dedication of the “New” Church was celebrated on July 2, 1979. The church continues to serve St. Philip Neri as the spiritual center of the Parish.
Since 1991, many projects have been completed to improve the facilities available to the Parishioners. The modular buildings were added and the fence was erected around the school complex (1992-93). Since 1994, the parking lost was expended, the Porte Cochère erected, and School Building 1 (the “Old” Church) was renovated. These serve as a sign of improvements to come.
