We are excited to share an update on the fabrication and delivery of our new baldacchino for St. Philip Neri! Carefully crafted in Spain by the renowned artisans at Granda, this beautiful and meaningful piece arrived safely to SPN in March.
A baldacchino is a decorative canopy placed over an altar. Rooted in centuries of Catholic tradition, it serves as a powerful visual reminder of the sacredness of the altar, where the Eucharist is celebrated. Often richly designed, the baldacchino draws our eyes upward and helps to highlight the altar as the spiritual center of the church.
We cannot wait to see this stunning addition installed in our church. It will not only enhance the beauty of our worship space but also deepen the sense of reverence and awe that surrounds the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Stay tuned for more updates as we move closer to installation!
